This popular self-guided tour showcases Frederick County's agricultural heritage and the architecture of historic barns. Barn docents will greet ticket holders at each barn location to share information and answer questions. Visitors will observe plein air artists painting the beautiful scenery around the barns, and demonstrators will be showing farm life skills and tools.
From 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m., tour goers are invited to the host barn, which will be identified in the ticket booklet, for a judged art show and art sale. Old time string band, Gravy Soppers, will entertain our visitors as they enjoy the art display and food trucks. From 12 noon -5 p.m., food trucks at the host barn will serve delicious BBQ, cold drinks, and hand dipped ice cream.
