Donations accepted to support Frederick County Landmarks Foundation programs, upkeep of Schifferstadt, and programs of the Rotary Club of Fredericktowne.
Come enjoy great food and drink, lively German music, historic demonstrations, and hand-made products from arts & crafts vendors.
Tours of the museum are available - buy your tickets in the Gift Shop.
EVENT INFORMATION
Parking: Free parking is available along W. 2nd St. and in nearby neighborhoods. Parking at the nearby Frederick Church of the Brethren lot will be available (with donations designated for mission programs) on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and free of charge on Sunday after 12:30 p.m.
Food/Beverage: Plan on having lunch or dinner with us! We will be serving traditional German fare including Bratwurst (and veggie brats), soft pretzels, and cider. Enjoy a variety of American and German beer at our beer garden. Food vendors including The Original Strudel Factory will also provide a variety of items.
Vendors/Artisans: Kick off your holiday shopping by patronizing a variety of arts and craft vendors. Handmade jewelry, prints, pottery, woven work, and much more!
Demonstrations: A variety of demonstrations will connect the past with present. Past years have included open-air cooking, blacksmithing and woodturning.
Entertainment: Come to the music tent and sing and dance along with traditional German music provided by The Edelweiss Band on both Saturday and Sunday.
House Tours: Docent-led tours of the Schifferstadt Architectural Museum will be available throughout the day for $5 per person. Children under 12 are free but must be accompanied by an adult. Due to limited space, tickets for specific times should be purchased upon arrival at the event.
Museum Gift Shop: A variety of handmade goods, note cards, pottery, period children's toys, books on local history, and art can be purchased. Oktoberfest T-shirts and beer steins are available!
