Celebrating Schifferstadt: Frederick County Landmarks Foundation

Annual meeting, Saturday, November 13, 2-5 - at Schifferstadt

 

YOU are invited for a sneak-peak at the Schifferstadt renovation project

Thanks to Maryland Historical Trust, for a $40,000 Capital Grant, and to Frederick County for supplemental funding, through a portion of their Bounce-Back Grant.                                                             

• Q & A and informal conversation about the exterior of the house will be offered by two docents, in period attire.  Staff from C. E. Rensberger and Family Builders will be on hand to discuss their restoration of the windows and front-door, and the chimney mortar work being planned

 

• Small-group walk-throughs of the first floor will be conducted, so you can see the windows up close.  Masks are required indoors.

                

• Paintings and sketches of Schifferstadt through the years will be displayed for your enjoyment, including a large, framed 1975 photograph of the house, which has recently been restored, and is being donated to FCLF

 

• Volunteer Recognition and election results – 4 pm.

Light refreshments will be served at the outdoor picnic tables, weather permitting.

Limited parking in church lot, in corner section across from Schifferstadt.
